Stardust
It once danced in the heart of a dying star,
Kissed by the cosmos, it collapsed into silence
And settled in the beat of your heart.
It’s a strange inheritance we carry–
Fragments of galaxies, now woven into flesh
Our existence both fleeting and infinite

And yet, we forget–
That the shimmer in our eyes
Once lit distant galaxies,
That our breath carries whispers
Of worlds long gone.
Then the cycle repeats—
Stars collapse,
Dust scatters,
Life begins anew
And that very dust lies within you.
Their beauty remains undiscovered,
The gift in their decay,
Perhaps they fall willingly,
Knowing their death
Will give rise to worlds
And as we walk under their light
How strange it is to think,
We are not only of the earth
But of the heavens too.
A fleeting paradox:
Bound to time, yet timeless
Made from stardust, and just like them-
Burning bright before we fade.
